The 4th Youth Forum on Latin American Studies, which was co-organized by China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), Chinese Association for Latin American Studies (CALAS) and Chinese Association for Latin American History Studies, was held in Beijing on July 11th, 2008.  The forum concentrated on the impacts of Latin America’s current reforms and adjustments on its relations with China.  It was divided into four sessions with the following topics: Features and Trends of Sino-Latin American Relations, Rise of the Left and Sino-Latin American Relations, US Factors and Sino-Latin American Relations, Country Specific and Concrete Issues in Sino-Latin American Relations.  Mr. Cui Liru (President of CICIR), Mr. Zheng Bingwen (Director-General of ILAS at CASS), Mr. Su Zhenxing (President of CALAS and  Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) and Mr. Lin Beidian (Director of Latin American Studies Centre at Peking University) attended and addressed the meeting.
