Fang Xiao, Ph.D., is an assistant research fellow at the Institute of Latin American Studies in the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Beijing, China.. He received his Doctor’s degree in International Relations from the School of International Studies, Jinan University in 2022, and then worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at the Guangdong Institute for International Strategies, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in 2022-2024.

His main research areas include the Global South, Latin American international relations and Asia-Pacific international relations. And his papers has been published in Shijie jingji yu zhengzhi (World Economics and Politics), Dangdai Yatai (Journal of Contemporary Asia-Pacific Studies), Dongnanya Yanjiu (Southeast Asian Studies), etc.
